The Importance of FHA & VA in this market In our ever-changing market, FHA & VA loans have become an increasingly important part of a loan officer’s product offerings. FHA loan decisions are not FICO based, and require a very low 3% down payment, which is often gifted by a family member or another acceptable party.
FHA also allows some of the most competitive cash-out refinance and reverse mortgage options available today. It is truly one of the most important products in our market.
Only lenders & brokers that meet FHA’s standards for net worth and quality control can originate FHA loans, and we’re proud to be an independently approved non-supervised loan correspondent.
Utah Housing The Utah Housing program builds upon an FHA loan and adds more benefit to your borrowers by subsidizing interest rates, and offering a “community 2nd” mortgage product to allow total financing up to 103% of the purchase price. Utah Housing loans will become one of your strongest tools to attract referrals from real estate agents, as well as business from valuable first-time home buyers and their friends. Old Providence is one of the few brokers in the state that offers Utah Housing loans.
Other Loan Types At Old Providence, you are able to originate construction loans (including one-time close), commercial mortgages, reverse mortgages, 2nd mortgages (including home equity lines of credit) and other loan types. It is increasingly important that you become the main mortgage resource for your clients throughout their life.
